Flachau skiing

This week we went skiing in Flachau, Austria. The ski resort offers two types of skipasses - ski amade or snow space.

We chose Ski amade as it allowed us to ski in Schladming the first day. The snow space would allow us to ski “only” in Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johan, and two other resorts. In Flachau we were skiing for 1.5 days.

Our favorite routes were red 7 and 7a, which were long and less busy then other routes, and going up by Space Jet 3.

Then the red and black 14, with the futuristic looking Topliner were amazing. The red 14 was a bit narrow, but the black 14 was “a steeper red” with not that many people going there.

On the last day we took G-Line - a 130 people sky-bus to traverse above the valley to Grafenberg. There we had wonderful sunny weather, with less people skiing. The red 22 had amazing snow and the Grafenberg Express 2 was nice, long and sunny way back to the top.
